The Training Summit was an intense and innovative 5 day program March 14-18 engaging 25 artists of diverse abilities in a festive Launch, series of small group workshops, demonstrations and discussions led by Michael Achtman, Caglar Kimyoncu, Miriam Rother, Mayahuel Tecozautla and Norma Araiza in dance, ritual and film-making with a team of 3 lead interpreters and 2 interpreting interns. We have selected one of the many workshop presentations; here illustrating the three-dimensional possibilities for staging accessible live performance, in this case centred on rituals and movement, performed in the round and incorporating sign language.
